What do people think, when they think of you?

Hello beautiful!

Here’s a twist on some of what I normally say.

“Instead of not caring what other people think about you, ask yourself - what will someone think of when they think of you.”

I heard Marianne Williamson define success as, “you go to bed at night knowing that somebody else’s life is better because you were in it that day.”

This means we all have the power to be successful.

Don’t you want to hit your ‘death day’ with a comfort in your heart that you lived what was in your heart? Your dreams and desires fulfilled? I truly believe this is a big part of success. What does it look and feel like for you? And are you making daily choices to reflect those desires?

So, what I normally say - it’s important to not care about the good opinions of others - the twist is - it is important to be kind and care about how we treat others. You will affect people. How you affect them is up to you.

It’s like the question - what would you want people to say about you at your funeral? This isn’t about people pleasing because there is a cost to you if you aren’t authentic. But true kindness is felt and appreciated by others (even if they don’t tell you). You will be able to feel it. This is connection. Which is impactful.

So today, when you part ways from someone, ask yourself, how did I make them feel? My hope is that your answer is supported, loved, appreciated, lighter or happier.

There are enough problems in the world (everyone has them), so let's sprinkle all people with kindness and compassion. Have them believe their life is better with you in it (even if only for a short while). And you’ll feel the same about them.

I’m happy you’re in my life, even if it’s only on Saturdays 😘

Take good care today.

(And next week I’ll continue with what to do if what they think isn’t good)! 😱

Time for a personal example...haha

All my love,
