Are you kind to yourself?

You have wonderful people in your life who are kind to you. And you are kind to wonderful people. But today’s inSight is about how you can be kind to you.

Do you have compassion for yourself?

There are times when you just don’t do as good as you should, or could, and when you notice yourself in that situation, be kind to yourself. Look at it and say, “you know, I’ll do better next time, and for now, good for me for noticing I could do better.”

Are you gentle on yourself when trying something new and maybe not getting it all perfect? The point is, you tried. Be kind to you.

Have you received unsettling news? It's essential that you are kind to you during any tribulations that occur.

Are you in a rush, maybe in traffic and you think somebody else is at fault but really you’re the one that’s in a hurry due to lack of planning? Just slow down, and be kind to you. It’s OK.

You’re sometimes frustrated and take it out on the ones you love. This is also OK. Be kind to you.

There are so many ways to be kind to yourself. But sometimes you get in your own way and block it. Be aware of self sabotage.

Know what you love to do, and do that - OFTEN. Do you like being lazy? Then do that.

Set a standard and stick to it. Sometimes no is a statement. No, thank you. You don’t have to defend yourself. That’s being kind to you. Set a boundary - something that may no longer work for you. Get dressed up, feel attractive. That’s being kind to you.

Look in the mirror and notice what you DO love. That’s being kind to you. Plan a delicious meal. Splurge on something you normally wouldn’t. Listen to a great song and dance regardless of who’s in the room!

Eat something unhealthy, and don’t feel bad about it! No guilt! That’s being kind to you.

I think you got it… and I’m so happy you did. 💖

All my love and kindness,
Kristi 🤗

I am an energetic gal who is captivated by the human condition. I believe in exploring all life experiences to learn and grow. Throughout my 20+ years of studying and learning to love and accept myself - no matter what, I have come to realize that there is no ‘right’ path or way to experience life, other than head on, with accountability, a sense of humor and lightness, and a knowing that only I can create my own reality. And this is true for everyone. You create your own reality. Let me help you get to yours!
