How to be responsible when a problem shows up
I know you have many responsibilities. And of course you are responsible. But this is about learning and growing. Not so much your daily to do’s.
From this standpoint, being responsible means taking charge of your life and handling what you need to handle without pushing it down and secretly hoping it just goes away. This begins with becoming aware of what is going on within you.
Look at a situation you want to change and intend to gain relief from it.
Get curious about the problem and look for the reason this may have shown up in your life. This is about figuring out what the lesson is here to show you.
Find gratitude in this situation. That it showed up so you can learn, grow and evolve from it.
This is a great starting place before you take any action. This enables you to uncover the truth of how you feel, why you feel it and empower yourself to grow.
For step 1, you’ll need quiet reflection/contemplation to gain this awareness.
For step 2, you’ll need to drop all blame and enter into accountability. Once you become grateful that this is something that happened for you, not to you, you will be able to show up differently.
Just remember, if you keep doing the same things, you will continue to get the same results.
Potential roadblock: One reason you may not want to voice your issue is because you know in order to change it, you have to do something differently. Without knowing the skill you need to overcome the problem, you may distract yourself and not much will change.
If you still aren’t sure how to get relief and move past this - you may require more information. Maybe more time needs to pass to gain further clarity. Maybe you need to educate yourself to gain the skill to get to the other side. Maybe you need to talk things out with a friend, therapist or coach.
But these first 2 steps are essential for you to understand what’s really going on for you. All problems have solutions. You are smart and will figure anything out. 👊
All my love,
Kristi xoxo
