Can you have it all?

Ask this question in a bar and see how many opinions you get! I’ve asked myself this question many times and I mostly believed I could. Here’s my perspective on this today:

First, you have to define ‘all.’ What’s ‘all’ to me will be different than what yours is. But I think it’s what you naturally strive for. You want what you want. And that’s great!

You can gauge where you are by noticing if you are feeling stress or joy. When you are in joy, doesn’t it feel as if you have it all already?

Pay attention to whether or not you are comparing with others on this. Because what someone else has/does can be deceiving. Especially with social media. I mean heck, everyone seems like they're living the perfect life while looking perfect doing it, right?! It’s an illusion.

Looking up to someone to emulate is good, but make sure they are living the truth you are seeking. And then be your own unique version. Comparing is silly. Try not to do this.

So yes, I do believe you can have it all, but maybe you just don’t get it all at once. It’s over a lifetime.

If you have young kids at home, you may not own your dream vehicle. Or if you are super busy with school, homework and a job, maybe you don’t have the time to do all the hobbies you’d love to do. Maybe you don’t have the money right now to fly to a beach. There is no problem with any of this.

Nothing stays the same forever - so as long as you know the direction you are headed and make steps towards what you want, you’ll find that feeling of having it all. Just don’t wait for ‘all’ of it before you feel good. Notice what you’ve already created and get excited for what’s to come.

As long as you can create time for special moments, laughter and love - I’d say who cares about having it all right now? Enjoy what you DO have.

All my love,
Kristi 💜
