A poem for you
I’m still not feeling quite myself, and it’s ok. Since experiencing the death of a loved one is new to me, I had no expectation on how this would go, so here I am.
In the middle of listening to a program on ‘living with grief and loss,’ my guidance told me to write a poem on how I was feeling and then it told me to share it with you. So here we are.
If all your days are numbered, have you ever wondered yours?
Have you been there and done that, or are there still more doors?
You can’t explain your journey - where you’ve been or where you’re headed,
Who has been important and of those, has all been mended?
Yesterday is gone, so today you call the present,
If you only see what’s wrong, life can be a sad depressant.
Look towards all things with love, where your truest feelings are,
And meet your day with hope and faith and this will get you far.
Hold on to your tomorrow’s as you would want them to,
Be filled with warmth and comfort and always right on cue.
The answers lie within you, don’t be afraid to ask,
If you feel like you’re alone in this, life becomes a difficult task.
You always have your guidance and alone is when it speaks,
See, you have a partner all the time and you’ll find that what you seek -
Is everything you’ve ever wanted is all inside of you,
And that you love, is the most important thing, you will ever do.
All my love,
Kristi 🙏
