What are your beliefs about aging?
A Course in Miracles states that all thoughts create form on some level.
And if a belief is just a thought you keep thinking - what are your beliefs about aging?
My mentor planted this seed for me years ago when I witnessed her talk about aging. She never puts a number on her age and we use the mantra “we get younger everyday!” I don’t think the woman has aged a day since we met 20 years ago, seriously!
You get what you think about so be aware of what you are thinking. Do you believe your body becomes weaker? Or that age brings about forgetfulness? The more you talk about it this way, you will be right.
How about, I have an abundance of energy? I get stronger everyday. My mind stays sharp and age brings more wisdom. (I’m so grateful I can act like I’m 25 but have the experience of 46). Young ones - start saying this now and you’ll never feel old! 😉
Caution: I did a roundoff at 40 and pulled my hamstring so bad. My bf’s kids reminded me I’m not 20 anymore and boy were they right. Haha.
I see people who are in great shape past 60. And I will be too. What about you?
My mom has the energy to walk around NYC for hours, ride a bike through all of Central Park and still stay up and talk for hours with some wine. She’s a major inspiration to me at 73!
So begin now to feel your youth. When you say, ‘at my age’ - be cautious of what comes out. Society has programmed us to believe old = slow down and break down. They want to sell us stuff.
You are superhuman (Dr. Joe Dispenza) once you tap into resources you may not even know you have.
We may look older, but who says we have to feel that way?
I believe when we feel good, we look good! Wouldn’t you agree?
