If you don’t ACT, you don’t get

Over the years I’ve learned so much from others and I often find myself quoting them or providing their examples. Which is totally fine, and cool to pass on, but I have to stop sometimes and ask, what do I actually think?

Example: Neale Donald Walsch was a great teacher of mine. He would explain, "We are not what we do. People run around and do do do… and end up just sitting around in a big pile of do-do." And I agree, that can definitely happen.

I think what I liked most about his reference was ‘we aren’t what we do.’ I was still quite young and hadn’t made any big career decisions, so that comment felt good to me. Even now though, it’s a good reminder. And I would add to that - we aren't what we do, it's who we are being in anything we do.

The ‘doing’ part is what I’ve been getting real clear on lately.  The doing IS getting off the couch and actually making the phone call. Putting on your runners and getting to the gym (or your spare room these days!) . Not just learning how to meditate - put down the phone and DO ONE! 👊

This is my point - there is no ‘right way’ to experience your life. I can only suggest listening to your own guidance on a given situation and then act on it. My mentor and I call it inspired action. (Well we aren’t the only ones). ha

Personal example: In writing these Saturday inSights, there are times when I awake at 5:30 AM with ideas swirling around in my head. I’m just so excited and have so much to say! Am I ‘inspired’ to get up at 5:30 AM? Well not normally - I love my sleep! But I’ve learned to pay attention to my inner guidance. And this is how she shows up sometimes.

Other times, my inner voice says, you have to write, just start. So I listen, get sick of putting it off and just make myself write. And that has worked too! But each time, I heard the voice. The calling me towards something.

Next time you get the ‘nudge’ to do something, just do it! That’s your inner wisdom knowing what’s best for you. It’s so easy to put things off, thinking you’ll come back to it. With so much distraction in our lives, it’s easy to not follow through.

To be the creator of your life means action. It's even better when it comes from an inspired place. That’s what gives me ultimate motivation. Inspired action is so much easier. And way more fun.

So - what are you being nudged to do? Pay attention and then ACT on it!

All my love,

Kristi

I am an energetic gal who is captivated by the human condition. I believe in exploring all life experiences to learn and grow. Throughout my 20+ years of studying and learning to love and accept myself - no matter what, I have come to realize that there is no ‘right’ path or way to experience life, other than head on, with accountability, a sense of humor and lightness, and a knowing that only I can create my own reality. And this is true for everyone. You create your own reality. Let me help you get to yours!
