Do you know the purpose of life?
Hey,
The ‘purpose’ of life is a question I’m sure you’ve asked yourself at some point or another. What’s my purpose? Why am I here? All good questions. And over the years my purpose has changed and evolved. The definition and what I’m here for. So don’t ever make this deep question stress you out.
We’ve been hurt (and will be again) and have old wounds from our life experiences that weren’t always our fault. No one should have hurt your precious heart. Yet, it happened. And we are left to sort it out, often without the skills required to heal, yet we expect this amazing life that we ‘deserve.’
Here’s what I know. You need to look at what’s keeping you hurt. What are the old wounds that have been bandaged up but not yet healed? Scars are the metaphor for what we need. The proof that we have lived, learned, and healed ourselves. To realize that even though someone else hurt us, our real power lies in healing it ourselves. Instead of giving our power away, we walk into it, and use it to heal and then flourish.
The Benefit: You can walk into your life fully, without fear, because you know how to heal your own heart.
When you realize you’re hurt - own it, feel it and stop pushing it away. Stop numbing it. Understand it. It’s only then that you can release it. You’ll need forgiveness to get back to living in love, which is all you are and have ever been since the day you came into this world.
It’s time to get back to who you really are. Not fear, not lack. In order to love with an open heart, we need to heal the hurts that keep us playing small, and prevent us from feeling the true joy that life gives away freely. This is my definition of the purpose of life.
It’s time to live with new stories - of what you want and the belief that you can have it. Be the creator of your life. Who else is creating it?
Leave the past in the past, and be grateful for the experience. Be still in the present and begin to look forward to all possibilities of your future.
If you don’t look within to see where you may have got it wrong, you will just be creating more experiences in your life that won’t have the outcome you desire. And you will get sick of it. And feel frustrated.
I’m right here with you, experiencing life. My example is in the process of moving from fear into love and I have some new patterns to create because I’ve been doing something the wrong way for a while so I need some time to practice. So I’m not ready to share this one yet, but you know I will!
Do one thing today that moves you in the direction of healing your heart. Not for me, but for you. If you need guidance on how to do this, reach out to me. It would be a smart thing to do.
I just love this song for inspiration… maybe you will too. Sorry (not sorry) if I’ve already sent it before. Repetition is good anyway.

I hope it moves you, like it does me every time I listen to it.
All my love,
