Connection for me is so very important in living my best life. It’s what fills my heart and makes me so very happy. So today's question for you is:
Do I feel connected to myself and to others?
If you ever feel lonely, you are probably just lacking connection. Connection can lower anxiety and depression, regulates emotions, creates higher self esteem and improves your immune system. Wow, no wonder my body naturally craves this!
Of course I suggest you first! Are you connected to your heart? Are you feeling in control of your life? Tools like meditation, walking in nature, working out, listening to music always helps me here. (A bunch of chips and a movie works wonders too)! ;)
What helps you to connect to yourself?
How about with others? Are you having meaningful conversations? Being vulnerable helps. When you admit your struggles to someone, usually they will share theirs also. This builds connection. Basking together in your wins, your joy and celebrating this with someone is also wonderful.
Are you looking people in the eyes? Do you have hugs and physical touch going on?
When we have strong connections we feel like we belong. This is something your soul desires whether you're aware of this or not.
How can you build up your connections? Be the first to reach out, ask questions, really listen, be grateful for your people and let them know you appreciate them.
