Self growth - are you open to change?
Hello!
If you have ever heard yourself say, “this is just the way I am,” or “I’ve always been this way,” I challenge you to ask yourself how and if this is still serving you. You can’t make others change, but you absolutely have the power within yourself to make changes. We don’t have to stay the same. It’s in our comfort to do so, but I believe some of what real living is, is taking a new road.
Personal example:
When I was young, expressive and immature, haha, I definitely loved being the center of attention. I could provide excuses as to why I was that way, but hey, what’s the point? I was where I was. Finally the time came when it dawned on me that when someone was asking about me and I was done talking - I actually noticed that I wouldn’t ask them many, if any, questions back. It’s kind of embarrassing now to see how into myself I was, but now, I (mostly) prefer to ask questions and listen. Oh and I’m still working on the listening part! ;)
I could have stayed in my ‘everything about me phase’ thinking that’s just who I am, but I listened to the nudge inside of me that said, hey Kristi, that was kind of rude to not ask about them. (This happened a few times before I began to realize it might be time to change). Oh and of course I’d been given the feedback in passing jokes or comments made about me. But I only changed when it came from within me. That’s where my power lies. And so does yours.
So pay attention to how you feel about all things. Make a mental note and think hmmmm, ok I’ll look at that. It doesn’t happen overnight, but once you pay attention, you’ll start gaining more clarity about who you really are and who you want to be.
This certainly isn’t to suggest you need to change, it’s just to get you to listen to yourself… because when you really like who you are, life is a lot more fun! And sometimes we need to tweak in order to be that better version of ourselves.

Stay cool,
All my love 💛
