Hello darling,
I believe each of us came into this world with a unique soul contract. I learned of this theory years ago from Caroline Myss. It resonated and made me feel better during times I didn’t understand why things happened as they did.
What’s a soul contract? It's the agreement you made before you were born, to figure yourself out. And it will take everyone on your journey to help you in your discovery. It’s the accumulation of experiences that you decided you wanted to have while on Earth. Things you came to learn and discover - mainly about yourself. Some might call this a purpose or a calling. Maybe it’s to figure out love, business, health, wellness. To get over our deepest fears and connect to our deepest longings.
We agree to this contract before we come. And then we forget.
Why do hard things happen? Why do we lose people we love? Why is finding and keeping love so challenging? Why do we sometimes get betrayed? Why did I get these parents? Why don’t some people heal? Why do some come with so many challenges?
Because we are here to expand. To grow from our experiences. We often crave safety. We want to know what’s going to happen. We want comfort and guarantees and protection. We are over insured and some pay good money for a physic to tell us our future. We want to know!
But I enjoy not knowing. What I do know is that I’m divinely loved and protected. Even in my hardest, broken hearted moments there is a grace that says girl, we got you. It’s going to be ok.
I believe you are divinely loved and protected.
What if what you went through or are going through isn’t wrong? It’s just part of your plan. Stress comes from thinking, what if it’s not going to be ok? Now I ask you, what if it is?
What if it’s ok to not know? What if part of the adventure is in not knowing? When I think of it like this I find peace. And a lot of excitement.
Why do you typically only read a book once? Because when you know how it ends, you’re ready for the next book! You want a new story with a new ending. Just like your life. One experience after the other. One door closes, another opens.
I believe that our birth is not the beginning and our death is not the end. It helps me realize nothing too serious is going on. It helps me feel lighter about most things.
Anyway, just something I was thinking about. Thanks for being with me in this life, on this adventure!
