Thoughts create things

I've been saying this statement for years. I’m also very intentional when I write and speak, knowing the importance of this fact. Thoughts create things. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but if not, it’s a bit of magic. I learned this from the great (and late) Wayne Dyer.

I know you’ve experienced this many times. You may call it a ‘coincidence’ or ironic or even synchronistic. You think about someone and soon enough you hear from them. Seems like no big deal right?

I’ve had so many of these situations happen and I wanted to share with you a couple big ones as a reminder to be conscious of your thoughts.

Personal examples:

Years ago, I wrote a list of what I wanted to attract in my future relationship. I really wanted someone to show me a bit of the world. I enjoy travelling but not motivated to plan it all out. My next boyfriend - owned a cruise vacation business with his parents so we spent 3 amazing years travelling to so many cool countries! I couldn’t believe it.

Back in 2010, I had a Volkswagen Jetta but had dreamed about owning a BMW SUV for years. My Jetta was just fine so I wasn’t about to sell it for no reason. But I couldn’t help this desire for the BMW. I began dreaming about owning one, visualizing driving it and praying for it to show up. (I had no idea how it would, but it felt so good to think about it). Soon after, a BMW was parked accidentally in my parking spot. I thought hmmmmm is this a sign it’s on it’s way? Had to be!

Soon after that, while driving on the Anthony Henday (a very busy highway in Edmonton, AB) a deer runs out and totals my windshield - and while parked on the side of the road assessing the damage, a BMW SUV slams into the rear end of my now totalled Jetta! The cops arrived and said ‘girl, looks like you’ll be getting yourself a new car!’ Of course I went out and bought my very first BMW SUV!

I can’t count the conversations, invitations and situations this ‘thinking’ has had on my life. It’s so fun to watch and laugh silently to myself when it happens. It’s not always as dramatic as those examples - but begin to be aware of the power your thoughts have. That will definitely be enough motivation to be more conscious of what you think about.

Like the Pussycat Dolls song from 2008 - “When I Grow Up” - Be careful what you wish for... (you just might get it)!

Have fun thinking!!!  🙌

All my 💜,
Kristi

I am an energetic gal who is captivated by the human condition. I believe in exploring all life experiences to learn and grow. Throughout my 20+ years of studying and learning to love and accept myself - no matter what, I have come to realize that there is no ‘right’ path or way to experience life, other than head on, with accountability, a sense of humor and lightness, and a knowing that only I can create my own reality. And this is true for everyone. You create your own reality. Let me help you get to yours!
