What represents real life?

This is a different type of inSight. It’s a thought that came to me the other day and I wondered if you have ever thought about ‘life’ this way also?

It’s kind of about comparing.

Whose life do you really know? And do you think that represents real life?

Is there someone’s life you want? But whose life do you REALLY know? And are you really looking at a real life?

I think it’s something we think we know but unless you actually live with people (for a long enough time to let them be real) you have no clue what goes on behind closed doors. This is probably a good thing.

I think most of the time, we are comparing our life with what we see on TV, social media and the stories people tell. This is disillusionment. And I think it’s what brings people pain. Thinking everyone else is having all the fun, and where is yours?

If people were extremely honest, I think we’d hear the same kinds of examples about real life. We all have friends, jobs, family, bills and the day to day life that happens to everyone.

So all you have is yours, and are you happy in it? I think that’s the only real question.

“If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.”
― Regina Brett

Our lives are the comfort or discomfort we create. We have to be accountable for our own lives. Both good and bad happen to everyone. You’re not a victim, you’re not a saint. There’s nobody ‘special.’ But I do believe we are all unique.

The representation of real life can be very different from the meaning of life. My hope is one day much of the world will align the two.

I am an energetic gal who is captivated by the human condition. I believe in exploring all life experiences to learn and grow. Throughout my 20+ years of studying and learning to love and accept myself - no matter what, I have come to realize that there is no ‘right’ path or way to experience life, other than head on, with accountability, a sense of humor and lightness, and a knowing that only I can create my own reality. And this is true for everyone. You create your own reality. Let me help you get to yours!
